Think about it for a minute. How do most people in the world interpret the word “freedom?” Isn’t it described by most as the ability to do what they want, when they want, and with whomever they want?
We see that for many, this “freedom” translates into chasing after some very dangerous and risky things. They aren’t looking for the wholesome “good, clean” kind of fun. Sadly, they want to “cut loose,” drinking to excess, and mixing with a raucous crowd.
This may be the definition of freedom to some, but when we consider the consequences of these actions, it really isn’t freedom at all. In fact, choosing to live in this manner actually leads to slavery, binding us up in the chains of the sinful nature!
