Things are quiet now. But that wasn’t the case just a few hours ago.
Here in the desert regions of California, it’s common to have a Summer storm during August. And usually, they “hit and run” rather quickly, with a downpour of rain which lasts for 15 minutes or so.
Today, however, was no “hit and run!”
We were told by forecasters that we’d get a storm of some magnitude. But nobody was expecting this!
The thunder began to rumble about 1-2 AM. The first drops of rain followed shortly thereafter. Soon, the lightning joined in and we had a huge storm; one which will not soon be forgotten!
Our satellite TV was knocked out several times. The power was interrupted as well. Thunder shook houses all around like no other time in recent memory; the worst in at least seven years. It almost seemed as if God was sending His storm with a punctuation mark!
