Monday Musings: “Your Books Are So Good, I Shouldn’t Have to Pay for Them.”

And So On...

This happened to an author of my acquaintance. She got an email from a “fan” and the gist of it was this:

However, I have returned them all because you priced them at $0.99 to $2.99, and that is too much to pay for them. I can’t afford to pay that much for a book, even though I liked it. In the future, can you make sure you make all your books free so I don’t have to return them?

And, when the author in question blocked this “fan” (and it seems, reported her as an abuser of the return system on ebooks), she sent another email chastising the author for blocking her and forcing her to open a second account (presumably to harass the…

Part Two of Chapter Two

Have We Had Help?

Rebellion – part two

Sobek, the senior Khaz in charge of production, sat in his command center on the first level looking at the security monitors. His senses told him something was not right, yet all appeared normal. His large black eyes remained expressionless. The Drana guards noticed the fetid stench from his frail grey body. (To be in the same room with a Khaz when we are worried is an experience definitely to be avoided!)

Our species make up for our physical weakness by planting fear into the minds of others. But, of all the miners, the Drana and Nephile prisoners were the only two species my brothers were unable to influence, so other means of persuasion were used. Spontaneous crucifixions and the copious use of discharge whips, plus expulsion onto the planet’s frozen surface, for now kept them in check. Since Sobek had assumed the role of leader…

The best mirror is an old friend.

…Hypocrites… is something. I am a simple man, doesn’t know what it means…

“my exclusive focus is on The UNI Hotel issues” That’s a serious joke. 😉 Someone suggested me to have a newspaper on the website. I found it a good idea. Now what? Started to make it, first all newspapers from one country, than next etc. found out, there are so-many. + my favorite; in multiply languages. Next. the view. I can get info from one newspaper, being not lazy, wanna have also others views, sample; news from/out USA + news from/out Russia. Visions from an issue in africa, by an african newspaper in their language. Surely people are to lazy, so it will get a click away, to the translation. … A Great Conspiracy against Our Race (for sale 45$) why not for free? Everyone needs to know, isn’t it? Possible but than you need…

Pretty Kemi Arobieke (pictured above) died last week in Osogbo and her family suspects foul play. Below is something her brother sent to LIB
“I write this with a heavy heart the demise of my immediate younger sister Kemi Arobieke who was murdered. On Thursday 6th of August, my sister left for Osogbo to see Bode Olugbore, the State Special Adviser to Governor Aregbesola without telling anyone only for us to get a call on the 8th, Saturday, that she had died in an accident in Osogbo.

The police asked us to come immediately that it was tragic. We got to osogbo in the night but was told to wait for the DPO the next morning. We got the shocker on Sunday that my beloved sister was electrocuted. We went to the mortuary where we discovered that she was not electrocuted but murdered”
There’s a photo of her corpse after…
